Biomat Coir Fiber in theory
The biomat coir fiber sold by NTC Brasil is made 100% by coir fiber, weaved with cotton and polypropylene and convoluted in 30m² coils. It’s a product with high resistance and low hygroscopy, and can be provided with different levels of resistance, hygroscopy and degradability.
The coir, biodegradable, transforms itself into a layer of material that promotes the growth of the vegetation.
The biomats instantly promote protection against the erosive agents, the silt process of rivers and canals, enbankments, and any soil surfaces unprotected against the erosion processes. It can be applied directly over the surface that needs to be protected, it has aesthetical, environmental and soil stabilization purposes.
